[ revisit the floor, that is. he'd like to sit in the sand with tighnari and watch the moon jellies glow in the night. that sounds absolutely lovely. but for now.. he nods, and smiles. ]
Sounds good.
[ and so he tucks right into his pita pocket again, doing his best not to rush through it, but instead taking his time to enjoy it, to enjoy sitting beside tighnari and listening to the sound of the surf, smelling the salt of the sea. ]
[ the fact the both of them have gotten so comfortable to make plans day by day here, his tail sways a little with thought. someday they'll eventually return back home - back to Sumeru. back to their lives there and everything that comes with it.
but for now, they both finish off their pita pockets, enjoying the sea breeze and the sight of the gentle waves of the beach. when he's finished, he reaches to tidy some of their things, most of it anyways. he's sure whatever was provided to them will likely stay here but he wants to make sure they at least take back their small gathered collection.
he pushes to a stand, giving a big stretch with a long curl of his tail. ]
[ they will return home indeed, back to their lives, their responsibilities, but they will still have one another, which is always a comfort. cyno's life has not been the easiest, but he is grateful for all that he has, for the life he's built for himself, and for the people in it. he wouldn't be who he is without them. without cyrus, and lisa, without collei. without kaveh and alhaitham. without tighnari.
his eyes flick upward when tighnari stands, following that adorable curl of his tail, and cyno pops the last bite of pita into his mouth with a nod, washing it down with the last of his water. ]
I'm good.
[ as for their things.. well, there's little to do but tidy up. cyno doesn't like the idea of leaving it all here, but it appeared on this floor, perhaps it shall disappear again without their use; they certainly can't lug it all back to tighnari's room. so instead he neatens up, folding up the chairs, packing up the cooler and bags, rolling up their towels, closing the umbrella, while tighnari gathers their precious findings.
after that, he stretches as well, and after a moment's thought.. slips his fingers through tighnari's, squeezing. ]
[ though his normal pouch has changed, putting away all of their findings into it should be fine. when his clothes return to normal, he can double-check everything is still in there. from his understanding it should. afterward, he helps cyno in rolling up the rest of the things that were set up earlier by them.
with everything wrapped up and ready to go, he gives the beach one last glance - it's too bad he couldn't find any flora but there will always be other floors, other kinds of climates to investigate.
suddenly those thoughts are briefly halted, surprised at the notion of cyno's hand meeting his own. he looks over at him, the glow of surprise still evident until it softens to one that can only be described as fond with fingers lacing through his partner's in return. ]
Lucky for you my room has one. Come on.
[ he'll lead them back towards the elevator after, gingerly squeezing their held hands. ]
[ with their beach area as tidied as it could possibly be, and their hearts and bellies both full, cyno smiles, squeezing tighnari's hand and returning that fond glance, before they're traipsing across the warm sands again, and back to the elevators.
of course, the moment they're inside, their clothing is back to normal. ]
Too bad. I kind of liked that visor. It was cool. Did you think it was cool?
[ with their regular clothes returned, his free hand rummages a little in his pouch to account that everything is there. satisfied to see they had all of their findings. though he blinks over at cyno at his comments and following inquiry.
seeing the man's almost expectant gaze, he can't help but roll his eyes lightly with an amused look. he leans a little over to press the button to his floor that sets the elevator into motion. ]
It looked good on you. Fitting.
[ that's basically telling him it was cool, right? ]
[ .. good enough, he thinks. tighnari thinks it looks good. cyno puffs up a little bit. ]
Thanks.
[ his hand around tighnari's squeezes gently, their fingers still woven neatly together, and cyno can't help but smile softly to himself. his heart feels so full, full in the way it can only feel when he is with tighnari and collei, enjoying a peaceful dinner together, followed by a few games of cards, and some quiet talking deep into the night.
the elevator hums as it descends, until at last it slows, and the doors slide open again. ]
[ a chuckle escapes him at that slight puff up, shaking his head gently. gingerly that hand squeezes back, tugging him just a little closer after the sound of that thanks and presses a soft kiss to the other man's cheeks. in the quiet private space of this elevator, it has his chest light up with a familiar warmth. ]
Anytime.
[ the slow descent comes to a stop, and when the doors slide open, the forest floor greets them in view. it's similar to the rainforests of Sumeru, but not exact. the trees that thrive here are a different kind, the various flora that can be seen are new and different- however, there are some that are familiar from home. little hints of sumeru that have sprouted and shown themselves over time, likely from tighnari's own wishful thinking. ]
Fortunately, it isn't too far from here.
[ he will lead him the way with exact precision, coming up to the large rather treehouse in which a familiar cube can be seen settled by the door. ]
[ as much as the desert might feel comfortable for him, this also feels like home, to cyno. he was born in sumeru's vast sands, but was taken by the akademiya at a young age, which meant spending much of his formative time in the green forested areas of their nation. perhaps he will always feel torn between these two places, one foot in each, nature versus nurture.
but truly, his real home is where his loved ones are. by his side.
anyway, KARKATA!!! cyno's brows lift. ]
The mechanical crab.. you've brought it here, then?
[ the sound of a familiar voice seems to activate the mechanical crab, a light flickering on as it starts up from its earlier rest mode. its voice module echoes from its form with a happy-sounding, "Kulilu?" which it stands up higher on its legs, tilting its 'head' a little to one side. ]
Just as I said I did. [ he comes closer until they're in front of it and the door, bringing one hand to gently pat the top of karkata who just whirls quietly in place to slightly face cyno more so. ] I figured if there was research to be done here, I may as well have one assistant with me.
[ after all, it isn't as if he could just bring collei here. and having karakata's company has been helping keep him focused, admittedly. ]
[ tighnari did say he did, but seeing karkata here makes it much more real. not that cyno is complaining. he enjoys this touch of home surely as much as tighnari does. ]
Hello again, Karkata.
[ cyno says, and reaches to lay his hand against the machine's shell, giving it a gentle pat. he knows all about this creature, after all, the nature of the experiment, and karkata's attempts at sentience. if there's even a chance that this crab can feel, cyno will be kind to it. ]
It's nice to see it. Makes it feel even more like home.
